What is the Sunoco Go Rewards® program?

Sunoco Go Rewards is a free mobile-based loyalty program that rewards members with a 3¢ per gallon discount for purchasing fuel using your preferred payment method within the Sunoco app at participating Sunoco Go Rewards locations.

What are the benefits of the Sunoco Go Rewards program?

The Sunoco Go Rewards program will reward members on every fuel-up purchased using the Sunoco app.

How do I sign up?

Download the Sunoco app and create an account. To create your account, you’ll need to enter your full name, phone number, email address, date of birth, and ZIP code. You can also use your Apple, Facebook, or Google credentials to create an account. Follow all the prompts in the app to complete your account creation.

When can I start using the Sunoco Go Rewards program?

Download the Sunoco app to receive your 3¢ per gallon discount today.

Will my personal information be put on any mailing list or shared with anyone else?

The Sunoco LP privacy policy describes how we and some of the companies we work with collect, use, share, and protect information in connection with our websites, portals, mobile apps, and other online applications (collectively, the "Website"), and your choices and rights regarding the collection and use of your information.

Is there a welcome offer?

There is no incremental welcome offer at this time.

Is there a limit to how much I can fuel up using my discount?

Yes, there is a limit of 30 gallons per fuel-up using your Sunoco Go Rewards discount. However, you can fuel up as many times as you'd like.

Do my Sunoco Go Rewards discounts ever expire?

No. You will receive 3¢ off per gallon every time you fuel using the Sunoco Go Rewards App.

How much can I save?

There is no limit on the number of fuel-ups in a month. Stations are limited to 30 gallons per fuel-up.

Can I redeem Sunoco Go Rewards discounts at the pump or in the store?

You can redeem your Sunoco Go Rewards fuel discount at the pump or inside the store using the Sunoco app. You will need to use the app to redeem rewards; otherwise, your discount won’t be applied to your fuel purchase.

Where can I redeem my Sunoco Go Rewards discount?

Please use our station finder within the Sunoco app to find the nearest participating Sunoco Go Rewards station.

Can I redeem my Sunoco Go Rewards discount using my credit card?

No, you cannot physically swipe your credit card at the pump to redeem Sunoco Go Rewards discounts. Sunoco Go Rewards is an app-based fuel rewards program, and you will need to link your credit card to the app and use it from the app for purchases. The app allows you to pay via your preferred payment method while you are at the pump.

Can the Sunoco Go Rewards discount stack with the Sunoco Rewards credit card discount?

Yes. When setting up your Sunoco Go Rewards account, you will need to link your Sunoco Rewards credit card in the app. You’ll also need to make sure this payment method is selected when purchasing fuel through the Sunoco app.

Savings from Sunoco Go Rewards will appear at the pump, but every day savings from the Sunoco Rewards credit card will appear on your receipt. Additional credit cards promotional cents off, such as a limited time offer, will be delivered via a statement credit.

Can the Sunoco Go Rewards discount be used with grocery rewards?

No, the Sunoco Go Rewards discount will not stack with your grocery rewards. Using your grocery rewards will not qualify as a fuel-up for Sunoco Go Rewards.

Your Sunoco app will default to use Sunoco Go Rewards. If you have other discounts to redeem, simply select another discount instead on your "Pay at Pump" or "Pay Inside" screen.

Why should I link a payment method in my account?

In order to be rewarded for eligible purchases made with your Sunoco Go Rewards account, you need to link a payment method and use it via the Sunoco app. Additionally, the app allows for a safe, fast, and touch-free payment.

How do I link a credit card to my account?

If you do not have the Sunoco app, download the Sunoco app and create an account. To create your account, you'll need to enter your full name, phone number, email address, date of birth, and ZIP code. Make sure to follow all the prompts in the app to complete your account creation. You can also use your Apple, Facebook, or Google credentials to create an account.

If you already have the Sunoco app, you will need to navigate to the "Menu" tab within the app, select "My Payment Methods," select "Add Another Card" under "Add New Payment," and then follow the steps.

What payment methods can I add to my account?

Can multiple payment methods be linked to the account at the same time?

Yes, you can add the following payment methods: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, debit cards, Sunoco gift cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Can Sunoco Gift Cards be used in the App?

Yes, you can upload a gift card to the Sunoco app and use funds from an existing gift card, but you cannot reload a gift card through the app.

Can I link my grocery rewards card?

Yes, grocery rewards cards can be linked to the Sunoco app, but these discounts will not stack with your Sunoco Go Rewards discount. If you choose to redeem your grocery rewards discount, the fuel-up won’t be credited towards Sunoco Go Rewards discounts.

Why is the Sunoco app not finding my location?

Make sure that location services and GPS are turned on for the Sunoco app. For iOS devices, please see Apple's support pages. If you're on an Android device, please see Google's Help Center on how to choose which apps use your Android phone's location.

How do I find a Sunoco location to redeem my rewards?

Please use our station finder in the Sunoco app to find the nearest participating Sunoco Go Rewards station. Note: The station will show a Sunoco Go Rewards logo if participating.

Why did the pump shut off while fueling?

The Sunoco Go Rewards discount is applicable only to the first thirty (30) gallons of fuel purchased per transaction. If a transaction exceeds 30 gallons, the pump will shut off and a new transaction will be required to complete the fuel up.

Which operating system can be used with the Sunoco Mobile App?

Application is compatible with Android 5.0 or later and iOS 12 or later.

Can I be logged in on multiple devices at once?

No, you can’t be logged in on multiple devices for your own security. The system will detect multiple devices and trigger a fraud alert.

How do I edit my Sunoco App account information?

You can update your phone number, email, password, and passcode directly from the Sunoco app. Go to the menu under "My Account" to edit. For further assistance, please call customer support at 1-800-SUNOCO-1.

How do I delete my Sunoco app account?

If you would like to delete your Sunoco app account, please contact customer support at 1-800-SUNOCO-1. Please note that if you have a Sunoco credit card added to your account, you will need to remove this from your app wallet prior to proceeding with the deletion.

Can the same credit card be used for multiple accounts?

No, the same credit card cannot be used for multiple accounts. This applies to both business and personal cards.

How many times can "pay at the pump" be used per day?

Unfortunately, each station has its own transaction limits at the pump (1-3 per day). In-store payment can be used multiple times a day. If you have a station you frequently visit, we recommend asking the personnel about their transaction limits.

I’m a Sunoco Rewards credit card holder. Do I need to call Sunoco customer service or Citi?

For Sunoco credit cards, all inquiries should be directed to Citi (866-635-7981). All inquiries for other types of payment should be directed to the appropriate financial institution.

Is there a workaround for the velocity limit on credit card payments?

Yes. To avoid the velocity limit, you can use a different payment method within the Sunoco app.

Can all purchase receipts be found in the app?

No, only receipts from transactions completed using the Sunoco app will be stored in the app.

Are prepaid credit cards supported by the app?

No, prepaid credit cards are not supported.

Can my Sunoco Rewards credit card bill be paid with the Sunoco app?

No, you must log in to your Sunoco Rewards credit card account online to pay your bill. You can also mail your payment, or call Citi customer service (866-635-7981).

Where can I go if I need to report an issue I am having with the Sunoco app?

Please report any issues within the app by navigating to the "Menu" tab, selecting "Help," then selecting "Contact Sunoco."

Where can I go if I have questions about the Sunoco Go Rewards program?

Where can I submit feedback about the Sunoco Go Rewards program?

Sunoco Pay / ACH Discount Member Frequently Asked Questions

Sunoco Pay is a secure way to pay for fuel and C-Store purchases with a checking account through the Sunoco Go Rewards app. Sunoco Pay is available at Sunoco branded, mobile enabled locations.

Yes, ACH is a secure way to make payments. ACH transactions are encrypted to protect the data being transmitted. This encryption helps ensure that sensitive information, such as bank account numbers and transaction details, remains confidential during transit.

Sunoco will be offering a limited time 10¢/gallon additional discount to all members who link their bank account in the Sunoco Mobile app and use Sunoco Pay as their payment method when completing a transaction. The limited time 10¢/gallon offer will end on June 30, 2024.

The dispenser will rollback 10¢/gallon when the member pays with Sunoco Pay using the Go Rewards app.

Members can report issues directly in the mobile app.  Open the app menu (upper left corner), select “Help”, select “Contact Sunoco”, and complete the form.

Yes!  The Sunoco Pay discount (10¢/gallon) will be incremental to:

  • Go Rewards discount (3¢/gallon) at participating stations
  • Grocery discounts (variable) for programs linked to and redeemed through the mobile app*
  • Member specific offers (variable)

Members must select Sunoco Pay as the payment method to be eligible for the discount, therefore Citi Rewards Credit Card discounts will not apply. 

*NOTE: Grocery and Go Rewards are not able to be stacked in the same transaction. 
*Reward redemption + Sunoco Pay discount cannot exceed the fuel price.

For all Sunoco branded locations participating in the Go Rewards program, Sunoco Pay transactions will be eligible for the 3¢/gallon* standard Go Rewards discount in addition to the 10¢/gallon Sunoco Pay discount for a total of 13¢/gallon.  

*Sites offering a higher Go Rewards base discount will also “stack” with the 10¢/gallon Sunoco Pay discount.

Yes, members who link their grocery account in the app will receive the 10¢/gallon Sunoco Pay discount in addition to their eligible grocery discount* when they select Sunoco Pay as their payment method for the transaction.

*Reward redemption + Sunoco Pay discount cannot exceed the fuel price.

Sunoco Pay transactions have no max gallon limit.  However, if the Sunoco Pay discount is stacked with another program (e.g., Go Rewards, Grocery Program), that program’s max gallon limit will apply.  In the event of multiple stacked offers the most restrictive gallon limit will apply.

Sunoco Pay Services, a dedicated support line, has been created to assist consumers with questions and issues at 1-800-337-9897.  

All Sunoco branded locations with Mobile Pay enabled will accept Sunoco Pay*. 

*Excluding sites with technical restrictions.

Members will be required to download the Sunoco mobile app and to register for the Go Rewards program.  Sunoco Pay can be added in the app under the payment methods menu.  Adding Sunoco Pay as a payment type requires the consumer to complete validation with their banking institution.  After entering their personal information, the consumer will have two options to complete verification.  

  1. Instant account verification (IAV)- The consumer will enter banking credentials to link their desired checking account.  This process will enable the consumer to make immediate purchases.
     
  2. Manual enrollment- The consumer will manually enter their bank account and routing number.  Within 1-2 business days, two micro deposits will be made into the consumer’s account.  The consumer will be required to verify the micro deposit amounts in the Sunoco Go Rewards app to complete the validation.  

Once verification is completed, the consumer will be active and able to make purchases using Sunoco Pay. The payment method will need to be selected at the time of the transaction and will become the default for future transactions.

If a member is unable to locate their banking institution from the preset list in the app, they may select to “Do Manual Entry Instead”.  This will allow the consumer to enter their account and routing numbers, plus all required personal information manually.

Adding Sunoco Pay as a payment type requires the member to complete validation with their banking institution.  After entering their personal information, the consumer will have two options to complete verification.  

  1. Instant account verification (IAV)- The consumer will enter banking credentials to link their desired checking account.  This process will enable the consumer to make immediate purchases.

The fuel purchase limit for all Sunoco Pay transactions is $125.  Once the limit is reached the dispenser will end the transaction.
