Sunoco has fueled generations of NASCAR legends through its long-standing partnership with the sport, including its proud role as sponsor of the Sunoco Rookie of the Year award. Previous Rookies of the Year and once-rising stars like Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott have now become multi-race winners and household names. Today, that commitment continues with Rajah Caruth and Toni Breidinger: two rising stars who are redefining what it means to succeed in motorsports, bringing fresh talent to the track, but also changing the conversation around what it means to succeed in the sport.
Rajah Caruth: From Virtual Racing to Victory Lane
Rajah Caruth took an unconventional path into NASCAR—starting his racing journey with a simulator in his bedroom. That same determination and drive carried him all the way to his first national NASCAR win in March 2024 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he started on the pole and led 38 laps.
With that win, Rajah became just the third Black driver in history to win a NASCAR national series race, joining the ranks of Wendell Scott and Bubba Wallace. He’s continued to build on that momentum, claiming his second Truck Series win in 2025 at Nashville Superspeedway after leading a race-high 61 laps and holding off top-tier competition.
Outside of the driver’s seat, Rajah is expanding access to motorsports through streaming and education. On Twitch, he shares racing gameplay and insight into life as a pro driver. He also leads Racing with Rajah, a STEM-based course that teaches students the science and strategy behind racing. Rajah’s story is one of persistence and potential—from classroom to victory lane—and in 2024, fans made it clear they see it too, voting him NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver in the Truck Series. Sunoco is proud to help power his journey every step of the way.
Toni Breidinger: Making History, Building Momentum
Toni Breidinger has never been afraid to stand out. As the first Arab American woman to compete in NASCAR, she’s already made history—but her focus is firmly on the road ahead. In 2023, she made her Craftsman Truck Series debut at Kansas Speedway, finishing 15th—the best debut by a female driver in the series.
Now, in 2025, Toni is taking on her first full-time season in the Truck Series with TRICON Garage, backed by partners including Sunoco. Her success in the ARCA Menards Series—where she earned 11 top-10 finishes and finished fourth in the championship standings in 2024—has proven she has both the skill and consistency to compete at the highest level. From custom Sunoco liveries to station and at-track social content and collaborations with Sunoco’s F1 team partner Stake Sauber, Sunoco is proud to support Toni as she continues to push boundaries.
Toni’s strong record on the track has helped build a strong personal brand with over 5 million followers across Instagram and TikTok. She uses her platform to connect with fans, grow the sport and show young girls that there’s a place for them in motorsports.
Driving What’s Next
Rajah and Toni are helping define what’s next for NASCAR. They bring talent, authenticity, and a clear connection to fans—on and off the track. Their presence is a reflection of the sport’s evolution, and their progress is one more reason Sunoco is proud to be fueling NASCAR’s future.
